Excerpt from “Moods, valid”

TABOR: The Apprentice’s Book of Reflections by D.B. GaNung

Excerpt from “Moods, valid”

Moods are the process we use to integrate the many sides of an issue into our feeling
values. By containing ourselves through a silent process of sorting ourselves out, we
stabilize in accord with our own nature, and that is the center out of which we’ll
grow better at evaluating life.

Overwhelming moods can also result from imbalance; too much of something
causes it to become compensatory for some other development. This often happens
in areas as food or a lack of physical activity. Sometimes discipline is lacking;
sometimes it is blocked by other problems.
